If you think of our organization as a media platform (like Facebook) where passionate climate activists meet electronically to collaborate and coordinate and then independently act on self-chosen, self-organized projects or positions within our organization, you would have a good idea of how we get everything done with only volunteers.

Being selected and joining our all-volunteer team is an honor. We attract the best, brightest, and most dedicated individuals who understand the collective crisis we are all facing and have have the free time to volunteer. It is considered a privilege to serve humanity's collective well-being and survival at Job One for Humanity.

As a volunteer, you will make a real difference in helping slow and lessen the worst consequences of our global heating emergency. 

Below are some of the opportunities for you to play a vital role in protecting the future of humanity from climate change and global heating. You can work entirely online or in your local area. If you are local to the San Francisco bay area, you can join us occasionally at our office. 

We do have a realistic plan for a safe and sustainable future that will work. We need your volunteering time and expertise to get than plan done.

The following positions are listed in order of importance for our organization to continue thriving and speaking the uncensored climate change truth to power. All positions below are part-time and conducted online unless you are in the San Francisco Bay area and choose to come to our offices. If you are or are not doing anything now, something extraordinary has occurred, and the winds of positive change and personal growth have presented themselves.

I don't know if you have heard about our new ClimateSafe Villages project described here. When you check it out, you will understand why it is growing quickly.

Because of this rapid growth, the managing executive for ClimateSafe Villages needs to find additional willing volunteers.

You can volunteer part-time, and you can do it remotely. Still, you will need to be reliable and consistent, and ready to dedicate some time. You also need to believe in the value of the ClimateSafe Villages exciting and critical new vision. 

ClimateSafe Villages is in the dynamic start-up stage. This volunteer unpaid position could grow into a paid position over time, with your volunteering success and our future fundraising targets for this project being met.   

You will work directly with a long-time successful social advocate and manager, Leonora.

If you have any website administration experience, that is a real plus.

Our current positions

1. Part Time Deputy Executive Director 

Our deputy executive Director would help develop and oversee all recruiting, administrative and organizational functions. They will support the executive director of Job One to manage the non-profit organization and achieve its mission. 

This position includes assisting in most management, administration, mission message marketing, fundraising, and personnel issues. Therefore, proven experience in organizational leadership, administration, non-profit funding, and personnel issues is essential.

Previous non-profit experience is helpful but not necessary. A good understanding of the climate change emergency is necessary.

Please also provide any information about your skill sets and previous experience that would be helpful. A previous history of climate education or climate activism is a real plus.

This is a highly prestigious volunteer position in our organization. The current executive director will be retiring soon, and this deputy position will lead you directly into our executive director position.

 

2. A Part Time Deputy ClimateSafe Villages Manager helping our existing manager oversee the creation and initial member selection for our new rural, urban, hybrid, or online virtual eco-communities (Currently our highest priority.)

Job One for Humanity is creating new "survive and thrive" global warming-safer rural, urban, and online ClimateSafe eco-communities described on this page and its sub-pages. You will be working with other volunteers who want to co-create our ClimateSafe Village model ands outside individuals from other intentional communities or individuals creating independent new eco-communities using parts of our model. 

We quickly need to find a ClimateSafe Villages deputy manager and also many other ClimateSafe Village sub-project managers for many different areas. The most critical initial areas where volunteer subproject managers are needed are in the areas of law, fund-raising, finance, eco-friendly architectural community design, online and offline education, sustainable (energy efficient) construction, administrative management, recruiting and human resources, medical services, wellness services, psychological support and therapeutic services, internet security, software design, permaculture, organic gardening, animal husbandry, and community and public relations. We will also need other sub-project managers for things, not on this list.

Our new eco-community project managers and subproject managers will not personally do the project work described on these community project description pages. They will manage, communicate, and coordinate with other skilled eco-community volunteers who will be organized into self-running, sub-projects, which also will have separate sub-project managers. For these project or subproject manager positions, you will need good people and project management skills.

We are looking for volunteers who:

1. understand why building these new rural, urban, or online ClimateSafe Villages is critical to our future, or

2. are committed to helping us finish our four current eco-community models or,

3. can help oversee the many subprojects involving recruiting other volunteers and members to physically build these new global warming-safer eco-communities because we are also running out of time to stay ahead of our accelerating global warming consequences.

We invite everyone interested in helping to realize our evolving ClimateSafe Villages project to volunteer and help us enhance and complete our four eco-community models with your ideas, wisdom, and efforts.

As of 5.22.23, we are accelerating our new eco-communities project forward faster to better adjust to, prepare for, and manage the risks of the accelerating global heating extinction emergency and our 11 other most critical global challenges.

 

 

We have completed a good portion of the new community model design work on the first of what we hope will be many new sustainable eco-communities. A small group of individuals and families have already said they want to participate in this project, and all we need now is someone with the skill and commitment to volunteer as the project manager to take us to the next level, as described on this page and its subpages. 

In addition to the list of sub-project managers in the paragraph above, we will also need individuals with skills in law, fund-raising, finance, online education, the eco-friendly architectural design for communities, sustainable (energy efficient) construction, recruiting, and human resources, wellness, internet security, software design, animal husbandry, and community and public relations.

You do not have to volunteer for this part-time project manager position if you and your family only want to join us and volunteer to help create these new eco-communities from a different position.

3. Climate Science editor for the Job One for Humanity Pages

You do not have to be a climate scientist, just an excellent editor to help us remove redundancies and other standard editing problems from our long, complex climate change science pages. We have received many complaints that all the information is there, but there's too much redundancy, etc.

We have editing tools that do a respectable sentence-by-sentence and paragraph-level job, but we do not have an editor who can look at the whole document and see what its nerdy authors seldom can see. If you are that person, you will have a great time working with a great team, and you will make a monumental contribution and help more people understand how dire the climate emergency is and not the highly censored climate garbage you're being told in the media or by our governments.

 

4. Part-Time Website Administrator (Currently a high priority.)

This position is vital to do normal administrative website back-end tasks using all of our many Internet support and connection tools. This individual will be helping our Chief Technical Coordinator to run the website and use new features and plugins to empower people to make the necessary climate changes.

Ideally, you will have worked on website administrative back-end actions previously. The normal tasks of a website administrator are keeping up with all of the social credit and member contact tools and other normal website administration.  

 

5. Part-Time Graphic Artist (Currently a top priority.)

We need a part-time graphic artist to help us tell the climate change emergency story and promote the new eco-communities on our websites with infographics and other graphic designs.

 

6. Part-Time Multimedia Production (Currently a high priority.)

Your expertise will be well used in helping to create short podcasts, YouTube videos, and animations to further our mission to promote ambitious global warming awareness and solutions using our new comprehensive plan to end global warming. You will also be involved on promoting our new eco-communities.

 

7. Part-Time Social Media Manager and Coordinator 

Are you familiar with and good with most social media like Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, and UTube? We are looking for a social media manager and additional volunteers in this area to help expand our existing social media reach. Our social media manager will create and manage our overall social media message and social media volunteer team. Volunteers will need to have excellent online computer skills. Our website software is nationbuilder.com, and they have many social media tools for you to use to help spread our messages.

Please provide any information about your social media skill sets and previous experience in this area that would be helpful. Experience with website backend software with extensive social media features is helpful, but not critical, as we can train you on how those tools work.

 

8. Part-Time Fundraising Specialist (Currently a top priority.)

In this position, you will join a partnership of engaged professionals working to educate and organize people internationally and locally to fund profound changes in curbing the threat of the accelerating climate change emergency. Your experience working with this team on online appeals, with major donors, and in donor development projects will be welcome. The most exciting current fundraising project is to help fund building our new global warming-safer eco-community model.

 

9. Part-Time Alliance and Partnership Coordinator

We seek your expertise in evaluating and initiating partnership opportunities with compatible organizations to further our mission to end global warming. Particular focus will be on collaborations in executing the action steps of our comprehensive Job One for Humanity Plan to end global warming. Click here to see some of the organizational alliances we have participated in.

 

10. Part-Time Marketing Manager

Your marketing expertise will be used to further our mission to promote global warming solutions, using our comprehensive plan to end global warming.

 

11. Part-Time Job One General Volunteer Coordinator 

We have almost 140 worldwide volunteers, and we have also experienced a surge in new people wanted to volunteer. We urgently need a part-time volunteer coordinator to help keep up with our volunteer growth. You will help our online volunteers stay active and move forward on our highest-priority volunteer projects.

You don't need to be an expert on the climate because your climate researcher-type teammates can help you answer those questions when they arise, but it would be a real plus if you were passionate about protecting the climate in the future. 

This is a unique and exciting position that will require an individual with good people qualities. You will coordinate volunteers worldwide using state-of-the-art Internet networking tools like video conferencing tools, Basecamp project management, and the many Nationbuilder.com community-building platform tools. These internet tools will allow each volunteer and local volunteer group to separately manage and coordinate many activities and projects, even meetups, events, and actions in local areas.

You will need good prior computer skills and hopefully some motivational, collaborative, and coordination skills. Provide any information about your skill sets and any previous experience that would be helpful for this volunteer coordinator position. 12. Part-Time Project Manager for All Other Ongoing Job One Projects

Help us focus on and execute the critical action steps of the Job One for Humanity Plan at a local, regional or global level. This individual will work with staff, volunteer managers, and our partners to facilitate and coordinate the execution of the critical action steps of the Job One for Humanity Plan. This individual will have excellent project management and computer skills and excellent motivational, collaborative, and coordination skills.

This individual will have access to our Bluejeans.com video conferencing tools for working with up to a hundred people at a time and other state-of-the-art collaboration tools. Proven experience in project management and project execution is essential. Please also provide any information about your skill sets and previous experience that would be helpful.

 

13. Part-Time Celebrity and High Net Worth Coordinator

Our celebrity coordinator will work directly and indirectly with celebrities and high-net-worth individuals who support fixing the climate and their staff to forward the Job One for Humanity Plan steps. This individual should have excellent public relations and communication skills. Experience in dealing with celebrities and high-net-worth individuals is a plus. Please also provide any information about your skill sets and previous experience that would be helpful.

 

14. Part-Time Information Researcher Gatherer

We seek your research abilities to help develop information that our members can use.

 

15. Part-Time Online Administrative Support

Are you good with state-of-the-art online mail list administration? We are looking for additional volunteers in this area to help handle our rapid growth. Volunteers will need to have excellent online computer skills. Familiarity with the backend of Nationbuilder is a real plus but not essential if you have worked on other website backend administrative panels. Please also provide any information about your skill sets and previous experience that would be helpful.

 

16. Part-Time Programers and/or Computer Science specialists

Help us evaluate, find, or create the best volunteer labor and democratic voting tracking software. We want to find or make the best barter and time-tracking software so that volunteers and members without adequate finances can trade/barter their volunteering services with other better-financed community volunteers and members in the new Universe eco-communities. They could also use this barter/trades software for community housing, health, and other Universe eco-community services.
