I understand the urgency of resolving the escalating global warming emergency. I am ready to make important commitments to do what I can to be an active part of the global warming solution.

• I will promote doing only what is critical and essential in the properly prioritized sequence to keep us from crossing any critical global warming tipping points. (Crossing any critical climate tipping points could quickly throw us into irreversible global warming and/or extinction-level climate destabilization.)

• I will work toward reducing global fossil fuel use 10% or more each year for the next 10 years to ensure achieving carbon neutrality (net zero carbon) by the end of 2026.

• I will work to promote a transition globally to 100% renewable green energy by 2030

• I will do my part to educate my friends and others about the global warming emergency and its solution.

• I will use the the Job One for Humanity Plan to guide me into the most meaningful individual and collective work I can do to lessen the global warming crisis.

• I will work with others to slow and lessen global warming and stay the course until we eventually resolve it.

• Once the current  global warming emergency has been eliminated, I will be a part of a global warming temperature maintenance program to get atmospheric toxic carbon pollution in parts per million (ppm) back down to the safe, long-term temperature and climate stability maintenance level of atmospheric carbon 325 to 350 ppm.

I understand that by making these commitments, it will likely change my life for the better. It may release powers, potentials, and opportunities that simply would not have appeared had I not made this decision and commitment.

In order to stop escalating global warming and climate change emergency, I pledge I will divest out of all of my holdings in the dead-end fossil fuel industry. I will then do everything within my zone of influence to convince others to do the same. I will work toward convincing other individuals, businesses, pension funds, endowments, and national governments to also divest out of the dying fossil fuel industry as soon as possible.

Why Divest?

1. Money is real influential power! Money talks and it talks effectively! One very strong way to convince our governments and the power elite that the age of fossil fuels is over and the age of green energy generation is here is to pull all financial support and subsidies from the fossil fuels industry as soon as possible.

2. Personally divesting from all fossil fuel holdings helps us keep fossil fuels in the ground and is one of the more effective personal action steps in the Job One for Humanity Climate Restabilization Plan.

3. The fossil fuel industry is a bad investment. Other than for limited use in the future for the military, air travel, space exploration, and other limited applications, the age of fossil fuel has already ended. No individuals or organizations will want to invest in an industry with its subsidies being removed, its profits being taxed at increasing rates, and growing legal liability to restore damage done to the environment over the last 130 years. Get out before you get caught since there is little future left for fossil fuel energy on a planet that has to move rapidly to green energy generation.
