Welcome to our website!
Here are the nine most important facts to know about global warming and climate change based on today's most current science. These nine facts below are the facts that most other environmental groups are afraid to tell you.
Once you understand them, you will be better prepared for what is happening now and what is coming.
We are not asking you to accept these disruptive global warming and climate change facts blindly. We have provided links to their scientific documentation and analysis (found on this page or website.)
At the end of this article, you will find a link to a comprehensive four-part plan for what you can do to help manage accelerating global warming.
To counterbalance these disruptive facts, in this article, you will also find a link to the many surprising benefits that you will experience as we work toward resolving this great challenge, opportunity, and evolutionary adventure.
Because psychologists say it is better to get the bad news out of the way before the good news, here are essential facts you should know about today's climate change and global warming emergency:
Fact 1: Our governments were not prepared for the COVID-19 pandemic. They are even more unprepared for the global warming emergency. Our governments have ignored 35 years of global warming warnings by our best scientists, just like many of them have ignored the advice of our best pandemic scientists.
Fact 2: Our governments are not telling us the truth about how bad global warming is going to get. Many catastrophic consequences are going to arrive far sooner than we have been told. Some catastrophic consequences are already unavoidable!
Fact 3: We have reached the point where only a government-driven world mass mobilization (similar to the mass mobilization that occurred before World War II) can save us in time. It is far too late for individual actions alone to achieve the fossil fuel reductions required to save us from a global catastrophe. (Part 3 of the Job One for Humanity Plan will show you how our governments can complete the required mass mobilization to save us in time.)
Fact 4: If we keep going the way we are now, our governments are about five years away (2025) from missing our last chance to reduce global fossil fuel use sufficiently to control our futures and prevent human extinction. This 2025 target will require us to reduce total global fossil use by 75%.
Yes, you read that right. The 75% global fossil fuel reduction target means that all developed countries (including China and India,) must reduce all auto, train, shipping, airline, industrial, agricultural, and home uses of fossil fuels by 75% to meet their 2025 targets! (Click here for all the 2025 target technical details.)
Fact 5: Missing this 2025 global fossil fuel reduction targets means that global warming moves our of our meaningful control and we will not be able to prevent the most catastrophic of global warming consequences from occurring. If we fail to meet the 2025 targets, the laws of climate physics will take over. We will not be able to stop the collapse of world agriculture, the world economy, and civilization. If we allow world agriculture to collapse the human population will starve and collapse.
Even worse, such a runaway global heating (as warned by the UN Secretary General and the UN Climate Secretariat) would render Planet Earth uninhabitable. This would happen because we will not be able to stop ourselves from crossing four extinction-evoking global warming tipping points. Runaway means the thing that is on a runaway course (in this case global warming,) will continue on, by and of itself, and it is out of practical control. (Click here to read about the four extinction-evoking tipping points.)
Fact 6: Despite horrible odds for not reaching the 2025 targets, it is technically possible to reach them with an immediate all-out and united global governmental response and mass mobilization. If our governments get us close to these targets, at least we can slow down (but not stop) a mass human, animal, and plant extinction event. This mass extinction event would kill off most of humanity by about mid-century.
Because of these unthinkable consequences, we must do everything we can to meet the 2025 targets and slow down the extinction process. (Click here to read how challenging it will be to reach these fossil fuel reduction targets.)
Fact 7: Only by getting close to the 2025 targets and successfully dealing with these other critical global challenges, can we give ourselves the needed time to prevent an even worse total human extinction event from occurring around 2070 to 2100. (If you think either these mass or total extinction threats are overstated, see this recent scientific summary by respected climate scientists.)
Fact 8: Unfortunately, we are far behind in reducing global warming sufficiently to get even close to the 2025 global reduction targets. We are also failing miserably to deal with the other critical global challenges that are interacting with global warming. This, therefore, is NOW the time for wise individuals to create a personal survival backup plan. This Plan B is a global warming emergency preparation, adaptation, and survival plan that might also include relocation to global warming safer areas.
With your Plan B in place, you can still "keep working for the best possible global warming outcomes after you have prepared your family and business for the soon-arriving disastrous outcomes." (Click here to see the many best possible outcomes.)
By having a personalized Plan B, you can survive longer and more comfortably. If we can get through the global warming extinction emergency, you will have also preserved your opportunity to once again thrive. (Click here to see our Job One for Humanity Plan B. Plan B will also help save and salvage as much of our civilization as we can for as long as we can.)
Fact 9: Global warming is accelerating. The following survival-critical deadlines should be kept in mind. Knowing and using these deadlines prevents panic and allows adequate time for the necessary emergency preparations and adaptations.
Here are the critical deadlines to remember:
- The 5-year deadline: We can slow down a mass extinction event by mid-century and maintain some control of our global warming future, but only by getting very close to the 2025 global fossil fuel reduction targets.
- The 7-year deadline: If we miss the 2025 fossil fuel reduction target, from 2020 to 2027 global warming consequences will steadily get worse in a linear progression. If you have prepared, adapted, and migrated to a global warming safer location before 2027, relative stability and security for your family and business is probable until about 2030 to as long as 2040. (See this page, which discusses the safest and least safe places to ride out the global warming emergency.)
- The 10-year deadline if we miss the 2025 targets: After 2030 many additional climate, human, ecological, political, and financial tipping points will be crossed due to both global warming and these 12 other global challenges also getting worse. The stability and security of even the safest and best prepared global warming safer locations will become increasingly uncertain.
- The 10-20 year deadline: Beginning around 2030, the frequency, severity, and size of global warming consequences will move from a linear progression into an exponential progression. Stability and security for even the safest and best prepared global warming safer locations will become considerably more difficult.
- The 30-year deadline if we miss the 2025 targets: By mid-century mass extinction for most of humanity is unavoidable. From 2030-2050 will be the most difficult period to survive for most of humanity. Generally, things will be only slightly better in global warming safer locations.
- The 50-year deadline if we miss the 2025 targets: We will face the worst consequences of runaway global warming and we will be heading toward the runaway greenhouse gas effect which ripped the atmosphere off Venus. Humanity will likely face total extinction sometime around 2070-2100.
There are those people who believe that geoengineering, carbon capture, or some other new miracle technology will ride in like a knight on a white horse just in time to save humanity from the natural consequences of its actions, inactions, and mistakes. Click here to read about why this technology will save us fairy tale is not going to happen or will be "too little too late" to save us.
The essential positive perspective on the above disruptive global warming and climate change news
Despite the many types of challenging global warming consequences and past fossil fuel reduction mistakes that we now face, we can still learn from their feedback, and we can adapt and evolve to make life as good and as happy as is possible. No matter how severe the coming global warming consequences might become, if we wisely play the remaining cards that we have been dealt, we can still achieve the best remaining possible outcomes.
We can yet make a significant difference to reduce global fossil fuel use stabilize and save the future of humanity by executing a comprehensive reduction and survival plan like the Job One for Humanity global warming action plan.
We can still maintain the perseverance needed to succeed in this monumental task by regularly reviewing the many benefits which will unfold as we work successfully on this together. (Click here to review those benefits.)
We can persevere through this time of emergency. We just need to remember that our greatest challenges are also the seeds of our greatest opportunities.
We are engaged in nothing less than the most critical and meaningful evolutionary opportunity, challenge, and adventure in human history! It is our last opportunity to slow down the mass human extinction threat and to fully remove the total extinction threat. In so doing, we also significantly improve many of the world's other 12 major challenges.

A quick summary of the above
There is just one immediate fact to know and focus upon concerning our climate change and global warming future. If we get this one right, most of the other problems will take care of themselves.
If our world governments do not immediately execute a mass mobilization of the necessary resources to reduce global fossil fuel use by 75% by 2025, most of humanity will be dead by mid-century.
That is all you really need to remember and focus on. If you do not believe what we have said above is accurate, click here to see precisely how this global warming nightmare will unfold.
On the other hand, if we do get global warming under control
If we do get the climate change and global warming emergency under control, we will experience 2 major global benefits:
Climate Change and Global Warming Benefit 1 - A beautiful world and having any livable future we get if we make the right choices and meet the 2025 global fossil fuel reduction targets.
Imagine a world with clean, fresh air that did not kill us or make our children ill. Imagine a world of new livelihoods and lifestyles where former fossil fuel workers transform our transportation system. Imagine them building fast, green bullet trains and expanding universal access to self-driving electric vehicles eliminating the need for most private transportation and parking lots.
Now imagine existing parking lots and the roofs of our many buildings becoming organic gardens or parks or, solar panel farms. Imagine our cities transformed into safe and healthy places and healthy forests, soils, waterways, and oceans again helping to clean our air and water and feed us sustainably.
We still have time to fix our global warming mess by reaching the 2025 global targets and have all these good things and much, much more. We still have one last opportunity to keep the world from getting so warm that it will kill off most of us, but only if we choose to resolve the fossil fuel caused global warming emergency.
Imagine we make the right 2025 global fossil fuel reduction target choices, and in doing this, we also become good stewards of the world and our futures.
And finally, imagine we do we make the urgently needed 2025 global fossil fuel reduction targets. We have preserved hope for both ourselves and for future generations that life will go on and that the quality of our lives will get better. By acting now we get to experience and preserve for ourselves and future generations the opportunity to survive and thrive and experience a true sustainable prosperity.
Climate Change and Global Warming Benefit 2 - When we resolve the single greatest disruptor and threat multiplier of the 21st century (which is accelerating global warming and climate change,) we will be simultaneously reducing many of the negative consequences of the world's 12 other critical systemic challenges. Here is a brief listing of these other 12 critical global challenges:
Global Challenge 1: Resolving the current COVID-19 global pandemic,
Global Challenge 2: increasing global economic instabilities,
Global Challenge 3: ever-rising over-population,
Global Challenge 4: rising global resource depletion,
Global Challenge 5: escalating pollution of lands, air, and waters.
Global Challenge 6: loss of biodiversity,
Global Challenge 7: growing economic inequality, social and racial injustice, hunger, and poverty.
Global Challenge 8: escalating regional and international terrorism, conflicts, and war,
Global Challenge 9: Mass migrations,
Global Challenge 10: New COVID-19 like pandemics and other new and old disease epidemics, will likely occur every decade.
Global Challenge 11: increasing political instability and collapsing governments, and
Global Challenge 12: Our failure to evolve effective global governance.
As we resolve global warming At the same time we will also be making the world's 12 critical challenges far easier to resolve! To see a detailed and expanded description of each of humanity's other 12 critical global crises to better understand how important it is for us to manage our global warming emergency, click here.
We can build a beautiful, more sustainable world and future for all, but only if we manage global warming.
Most of our best social, economic, and political values, goals, and human rights will become far easier and more probable to achieve once we get our accelerating global warming emergency resolved. (Those values, goals and human rights are shown in the Sustainable Development illustration below)
Resolving global warming allows us to make continuing progress on addressing all of the world's 12 other critical systemic challenges! On the other hand, if we do not get global warming fixed and the climate continues to de-stabilize at the current rate, there will be no way to make continued progress or ever realize most of these vital values, goals, and human rights.
We can create the world in which we and future generations will love to live. We can build a new world of far greater peace and security!
To do this first we have to get the global warming emergency resolved. This will facilitate and expedite our possibilities for reaching all of the following wonderful life-enhancing Sustainable Development and Sustainable Prosperity Goals.
Said in a different way, here are just a few of the potential evolutionary changes in values, goals, and processes that will be far easier to improve or make once accelerating global warming is under control. We will be better able to:
1. reduce our destructive consume/pollute/waste consumerism,
2. end critical resource depletion and create resource rebalancing,
3. end racial and educational justice,
4. create universal healthcare,
5. end wealth and income equity,
6. create housing and employment equity,
7. allow for the return and strengthening of biodiversity because of reduced pollution and encroachment into natural habitats,
8. create the next evolutionary economic fair exchange system beyond our current corporate greed-based capitalism. This new economic system rely upon the false fundamental principle of unlimited growth within the closed and limited Earth system. And,
9. create effective global governance based on the collective wellbeing of all planetary citizens vs. our current corporatocracy for the benefit of a wealthy few that we have now. (To begin to repair corporatocracy we would need to remove all personhood rights from corporations, hold them strictly responsible to the principles of the triple bottom line and make them pay for all pollution and harm they cause upon the public commons.)
All of the previous items will help build a sustainable prosperity and a just and equitable future for ALL of humanity, including all biological life. All of the above things can help create a global civil society with individual human rights and responsibilities held in appropriate balance with community and government rights and responsibilities. (To learn more about the many new principles of the sustainable prosperity of the future, click here.)
Before reading on, please take a moment and visualize how much better your life and our world will be when all of the beautiful values and goals listed in Benefits 1 and 2 above are improved, stabilized, and achieved!

The above is all you have to remember for now about global warming and your future. Many of the pages on our website will show you the exact science behind these five simple statements to verify what we are saying is true. You can start that verification process here or continue reading.
And, yes there is much more than just global warming that we have to deal with. We have 12 other major global challenges to fix as well
It appears that the world is unraveling with a COVID-19 pandemic, mass unemployment, public loss of faith and trust in our governments, global warming, civil unrest, racial injustice, species extinction, and much more as you will read below.
Humanity is no longer dealing with single-incident, non-interconnected crises. Humanity has entered into a deteriorating global emergency involving almost all of its most critical global systems. (From Wikipedia, A system is a group of interacting or interrelated entities that form a unified whole. A system is described by its spatial and temporal boundaries, surrounded and influenced by its environment, described by its structure and purpose and expressed in its functioning. Systems are the subjects of the study of systems theory.)
Today the world faces global warming and these 12 critical and worsening systemic global challenges that will cause a cascading convergence of systemic catastrophes. This chain of systemic catastrophes will directly or indirectly affect the future of every person on earth.
Our not-for-profit Job One for Humanity organization focuses mainly on educating individuals and businesses on how to survive and thrive through the escalating climate change and global warming emergency. Many of the steps we take in our Job One Plan to resolve the global warming emergency will help improve many of the other 12 critical global systemic challenges.
We focus primarily on the global warming emergency because of the principle of "first things first." This exceptional global warming first prioritization is also because the escalating global warming emergency will cause:
1. mass extinction by about mid-century and,
2. it is also the largest global disruptor and threat multiplier for all of the other 12 critical global challenges.
If we do not manage global warming on a "first things first" priority basis, there will be little-to-no opportunity or time left to resolve the world's other 12 critical global challenges. If you do not understand why our primary focus must first be on the accelerating global warming emergency, then please click here and read about the five most important facts about today's global warming emergency.
We face a dramatically increased threat of a cascading convergence of systemic global catastrophes
There is a real urgency for immediate, comprehensive, and effective action on global warming. If we miss hitting the 2025 global fossil fuel reduction targets, there is very little hope we can avoid a painful and messy mass extinction process within our lifetimes.
This is not the only reason for urgency and the priority for solving the global warming extinction threat. Besides global warming being the mega-disruptor and threat multiplier of almost all the world's other 12 critical systemic global challenges, it interacts with the other 12 global challenges and amplifies them. It makes almost all of the 12 challenges worse. Additionally, accelerating global warming pushes the 12 other global challenges more quickly toward their tipping points into waves of globalized chaos and catastrophe.
There is a real extinction prevention urgency for reaching the 2025 global fossil fuel reduction targets. There are other predicted deadlines we now face:
- By 2030, it is estimated that most of the remaining safest global warming land will be occupied or unreachable because, this land has either been sold or, northern nations have closed their borders. And,
- By 2032, most of the world's fresh water will be gone.
These are just two of the many severe consequences we will experience if we fail to get global warming and the 12 other global challenges under control. If we fail to manage global warming successfully, we will also lose much of the time and resources needed to resolve the other 12 global challenges.
This means that for your business, your nation, and humanity to survive and thrive, we need to do the following:
- work for the best to meet the 2025 global fossil fuel reduction targets to prevent mass extinction within our lifetimes. (Hitting these 2025 targets will also do much to lessen and help resolve the world's other 12 critical systemic global challenges.) And,
- prepare for the worst. If we are unable to reach the 2025 global fossil fuel reduction targets the world's other 12 critical global systemic challenges will get considerably worse and cross many cataclysmic tipping points. This means we must also simultaneously begin making emergency preparations for a much harsher world where mass extinction within our lifetimes is a likely reality and consequence of failure.
Our new priorities have to be:
1. first, getting as close as possible to the 2025 global fossil fuel reduction targets even though the odds of doing so do not look good. (The consequences described here are far too grim not to make hitting the 2025 targets our Priority One.)
2. Next, and only if we fail and miss these 2025 targets by a significant amount, we would then focus entirely on our second priority which is to get a personal Plan B emergency survival plan made and done so that you can help us save and salvage as much of civilization as you can while we still have time to do so.
There are many amazing benefits to resolving our challenging global warming emergency. Please click here and see the most-read page on our website, our global warming benefits page.
The most important reasons for why we must press on and meet or get as close to the 2025 targets as is possible in spite of all the challenges
If we do get close to the 2025 targets, as much as 50% of humanity will suffer and die due to starvation over a relatively short period (1-2 decades.) As horrible as much as 50% of humanity as well as a lot of animal and biological life suffering and dying is, this outcome is still far better than having most of humanity suffer and die by mid-century (or even all of humanity,) if we fail to reach or come very close to the 2025 global fossil fuel reduction targets.
There are four things we can always be sure of during this global warming emergency. In spite of all of the challenges and adverse global warming outcomes that are possible and discussed above (and on this website,) the single constant truth for the best possible outcome for humanity is that; the faster and more we reduce global fossil fuel use toward meeting or getting as close as possible to the 2025 targets:
a. the more people that will survive longer to carry on humanity, life, and our beautiful civilization into the future, (See Parts 3 and 4 of the Job One Plan for how to do this.)
b. the surviving future generations will suffer far less from an ever-increasing sequence of escalating global warming consequences and catastrophes,
c. we will "buy" ourselves more time to prepare and adapt to what we can no longer avoid, (see Parts 1 and 2 of the Job One Plan here.) And,
d. it will be far easier and still possible to get control of and manage these 12 other major global challenges when we get global warming under control.
More people surviving longer and more people having time to get themselves, their families, and their businesses prepared for what is coming is an undeniable good particularly when you weigh it against the unavoidable consequences of doing nothing or failure to make the needed sacrifices to get global warming under control.
Never forget, we still have some time left to:
1. make the required radical fossil fuel reductions,
2. complete the necessary emergency preparations, and to
3. adapt to soon-arriving global warming consequences that we can no longer change.
