2019 San Rafael Lighted Boat Parade Holiday Fundraising Event

It is that time once again and the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade comes a week earlier this year. As you know, every year we do the San Rafael Lighted Boat Parade fundraiser event for Job One for Humanity nonprofit organization on the Universe Spirit yacht shown above.

Anyone who has ever joined us knows this is a very unique and sunset cruise and funtastic fundraiser.

This year the traditional San Rafael lighted boat parade will be on Saturday, December 7th. To make it easier for Job One and you, and have plenty of food for the holiday feast, this year we will cater the event with healthy and delicious meals, wine, and beer. (If you have unique holiday beverage desires, you would need to bring those along.)

Important event details:

There is a limited number of people (about 50) who can fit on the Universe Spirit yacht in Loch Lomond Marina in San Rafael California (as shown above in last year's parade,) and we always are full. So RSVP soon if you are going!

Each event will start with everyone being on board at 3:30 on Saturday for a sunset cruise which will leave the dock at about 4 pm sharp! The sunset cruise portion of the event will last until about 5:30. At that point, we will join inline for the parade with the other holiday lighted boats and cruise in the parade until about 7-7:30.

We cruise back and dock at about 8 or 8:30 pm. Once on the dock you can stay and socialize with others about global warming issues with the author of Climageddon The Global Warming Emergency for another hour or so.

The event is almost all holiday fun and socializing except for about 10 minutes when we dock at about 8:00 pm ish where we remind everyone that this is the main fundraiser for 2020 for Job One for Humanity and we ask for any possible additional tax-deductible donations.)

Additional event parking and gate access information will be emailed to you after you RSVP.

Volunteers:

We only need about 6-8 total volunteers. If you volunteer, your event donation will be $0.00 per person. We need volunteers to show up and decorate the inside and outside of the yacht in the 2 weeks before the event. We have thousands of lights and other large and small holiday decorations to put on the inside and outside of the Universe Spirit yacht each year, and it takes about 100 hours over two weeks to get the yacht fully ready for this fantastic event.

We also need volunteers to commit to helping us clean up after the holiday event. Volunteers need to put in at least 4 hrs to attend free.

If you are going to attend this once a year funtastic holiday event:

To RVSP: This year we will give first preference for attendance to friends who have previously attended and have made this event part of their holiday tradition but only if they RSVP early before November 12th! The reason for this is that this year we are also doing more public promotion for this event and we will be giving additional seating preference to other Job One for Humanity donors and members in the bay area and their friends who have never had the chance to attend because we have never directly promoted to them before.

This is an essential annual holiday Job One for Humanity tax-deductible fundraiser to keep our non-profit organization solvent in 2020. (Keep in mind this donor appreciation event also includes a beautiful and healthy catered meal and wine, and beer.)

You can RSVP for one additional person when you RSVP.

Event RSVPs are $90 per person if you RSVP and make your tax-deductible donation before Nov 12.

If you RSVP From Nov 13 -Nov 30, it is $100.

If you RSVP from December 1st to December 7th, it is $115.

RSVP quickly if you are going to go! Don't' forget that you can save quite a bit with your fast RSVP, and it helps us plan early-on for our catering needs and reserve the licensed captain and crew for both events.
