This month's July newsletter is about some good climate news and not-so-good climate news. It also contains new climate articles, updates, and a special editorial.

Let's get the not-so-good news out of the way so we can go on to some better and good news.

1. The way to reduce global fossil fuel use is to increase global fossil fuel use. Way what?

 

 

We are living in a crazy climate time. The number one thing we should be doing is cutting our global fossil fuel use to meet the 2025 global fossil fuel reduction targets.

But we are doing precisely the opposite. 

Instead of our politicians asking us to make sacrifices for the common good and the future by reducing our fossil fuel use, US politicians are asking oil-producing nations and US fossil fuel companies to produce more fossil fuels because --- of the Ukrainian conflict.

This dangerous expansion of global fossil fuel production and use is outrageous and irrational because getting close to our last chance 2025 global fossil fuel reduction targets is the only way we can still save about half of the human population from extinction caused by climate-related consequences.

Adding insult to injury, at the same time, US politicians are proposing a $370 billion climate change spending program to reduce global warming, but their new bill also contains provisions that would open Alaska and various US coastal areas to even more drilling for fossil fuel.

3. More people are being forced by repeating and persistent painful climate change consequences to...

become aware of, accept, and begin remedial actions on the runaway global heating emergency we all now face.

Because of the worldwide intensification of climate change consequences and its worldwide news coverage, it is becoming harder and harder for individuals to ignore or deny that something very wrong is going on with their weather and climate. This increased awareness is the critical first step towards the essential second step of acceptance that "we really are in a runaway global heating emergency." 

Once people reach acceptance of our emergency, support for remedial action is usually not far away.

The good news here is that "thanks" to the accelerating intensification of climate consequences, more people are talking to their friends and neighbors to make this awareness, acceptance, and action process even faster.

 

 

4. Our climate future is going to be formidable, painful, and bumpy.

A new analysis of current climate research indicates that we will not be facing total human extinction as some individuals and groups are now claiming. 

Here is more good news, but it is painful good news. While it is now highly improbable that all of humanity will go extinct because of climate change consequences, the unavoidable climate consequences we now face (because we have ignored 60 years of scientific warnings) will be severe.

Additionally, in several months, we will complete and publish a significant new research piece listing the specifics on the natural and scores of human counteractions to runaway global heating that will eventually prevent us from going totally extinct.

6. We have done our first Podcast on climate change and the seven rules of real estate buying, selling, and investing.

Please check it out below. Our Executive Director made this podcast for his sister, who is in the real estate business. Click here to hear this new podcast. 

It is not meant to exclusively promote his sister as a real estate agent for global warming relocation. Instead, it simply illuminates the real estate risks in the age of accelerating global heating. 

It is the first test podcast we have ever made at Job One. The real estate agent's podcast team was kind enough to voluntarily do all of the podcast, recording, editing, and posting for us.

We hope to start doing more podcasts for those who learn best by audio means sometime soon.

 

7. We rarely do this, but there is a climate change article so good and powerful

on climate change written by a major London newspaper we had to include it. One of our Advisory Board members strongly recommended it.

8. What to do to protect yourself and your loved ones from the runaway global heating emergency?

We can still do many things to slow down the runaway global heating emergency so that as much as half of humanity can live longer, more stable, and more secure lives. 

Here are a few of the positive and easy things we can start today. The first two are the most important:

Here is how to help us.

Contact other people in your area who are open to learning about runaway global heating and help educate them about the ten critical climate facts and the many benefits we will get once we get runaway global heating under control

You can do the following in any order you like, but it is critical that everyone does their part by reaching out to others before it is too late to prevent the worst coming runaway global heating consequences:

Part a: You can begin by using our simple climate change and global heating "elevator pitch" found here to start conversations with friends, neighbors, work associates, and strangers and let them know how serious the current climate emergency is. In these conversations, personally share what you have learned about the runaway global heating emergency. Or,

Part b: You can start conversations with friends, neighbors, work associates, and strangers and let them know the many wondrous benefits they, the society, and the world will receive when we get the runaway global heating emergency under control. Click here to read about the many benefits of global heating and climate change if you have not done so already. This benefits page is the most read page of our website with over 2 million visits.

Part c:  You can email your friends or the people you talk to this critical link to the ten critical climate facts on the Job One website. This one page and its links will quickly educate anyone on our perilous climate change condition. You can also email them the global heating benefits page if you think that will be better.

Part d: At some point, ask them to sign online runaway global heating petitions found here on our website or our even easier "I will commit to helpful climate actions pledge."

Part e: Eventually, when they seem ready, ask your friends and neighbors to join your climate change educational work. This way, you build up a local climate action and support group membership. 

The above actions are not difficult. Everyone can and should get busy educating!

 

11. We may not have a newsletter in August or September and maybe fewer blog posts because...

a key newsletter volunteer and blog poster will be cruising across the top of the US, evaluating possible safer global warming new locations for our new office and possibly some volunteer team members who might join in the climate migration. 

We hope this will be our fourth and last re-location trip. When we return, we will share the new location-specific details in the Member's section of our website. By the second or third week of August, we will have added a lot of new, safer location information in our Member area.
